Word processing is sometimes pretty simple straight forward job. Like report writing, thesis writing articles, blog posts etc it's just need of edit words, formats paragraphs, adding charts and figures etc. Microsoft Word is the best software for that. Often we need to edit documents with more complex editing tasks. Especially when we have to create or edit posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, and books. Mainly those are for mass publications, but to work InDesing it needs to learn it first.
